Kenzo 1990s Wool Rosette Detail Top

Rare Kenzo 1990s sleeveless wool top from the Kenzo Takada era, defined by a dramatic rosette trim cascading down one side of the neckline.

Cut from matte black wool in a fluid, softly boxy silhouette, the top features a clean jewel neckline and a concealed center-back zip. The otherwise minimal body is interrupted by two oversized fabric roses, hand-rolled from satin and stacked at the shoulder, from which a vertical arrangement of pleated satin ribbon and lace descends along the front.

The contrast between the architectural simplicity of the black wool and the elaborate, almost couture-like floral embellishment is what makes the piece particularly striking. The layered rosettes, pleated ribbon and lace create a sculptural textile composition against an otherwise restrained silhouette.
