Rare Valentino 2000s ribbed wool knit top in charcoal grey.

Constructed in a fine vertical rib knit, the top is sleeveless and crew-necked, fitted through the bodice before releasing into a fluted peplum hem; the ribbing itself doing the structural work, falling into soft pleats as it widens. At each side seam, a grosgrain ribbon ties into a bow, frayed at the ends for a deliberately undone finish against the otherwise disciplined knit. The contrast between the precision of the rib and the raw edge of the ribbon is the kind of tension that separates considered design from decoration.
